This page is dedicated to the many different motorcycles in Ecuador. While there are the familiar US sold brands like Honda and Kawasaki and Triumph and Ducati and Harley Davidson, those motorcycles are expensive in Ecuador. You might get a new Suzuki DR650 for around $7000.00 in the US, in Ecuador that bike might top $12,000 new and not much less used.
There are no Ecuadorian motorcycle manufacturers, rather, they assemble mostly Chinese made motorcycles and brand them under a unique name. These are typically single cylinder 100cc to 250cc motorcycles and scooters and can be bought for under $2200.00 typically with the lesser displacement units going for much less.
I will add more information above as time goes on and more pictures below as I take them. New photos are top loaded.
Scooters are popular and very inexpensive here.
KTMs, especially the 390 are very popular here. The 390 will set you back $12,000 here, $7000 in the US. Factory brand bikes are a lot cheaper and this looks a lot like the KTM it’s modeled after
.
Scrambler Mods are popular here too. They generally have underseat or high exhaust pipes. I think many of these are all that is left of a bike ridden by someone who doesn’t really have enough money to buy replacement parts for broken stuff.
Dual Sports like this one are common here. They dropped out of the US market for a long time, but are coming back there too.
Yes, Harley’s are available here. This Sportster is rare here and expensive.
Honda Shadow Copy with a Single Cylinder Engine
AXXO 150
Dayamo
Looks a bit like a Yamaha Virago knockoff. Probably comes from China or Thailand or South Korea. Sometimes hard to say. From the cylinder head size, probably a 150cc single.
